Celebrating Women's Health: Free Cancer Screening Initiative

On March 8, 2025, we came together to celebrate International Women's Day at the Showground in Lusaka, Zambia, with a special focus on women's health. In collaboration with Marie Stopes Zambia, we offered free cervical and breast cancer screenings to women in the community.

Over the course of 5 hours, 45 women took advantage of this important health service, receiving essential screenings that could potentially save lives. The screenings provided were quick, efficient, and confidential, ensuring that women had access to vital health resources.

This event was an empowering opportunity for women to learn more about the importance of early detection in preventing cervical and breast cancer. We are proud to have contributed to raising awareness and making healthcare more accessible to all.

A heartfelt thank you to Marie Stopes Zambia for partnering with us and making this event a success. Together, we continue to build a healthier future for women in Zambia.

As Tealsisters Foundation we embarked on a round trip to Chipata, Siavonga, and Petauke simultaneously conducted vaccination drives and cancer screenings in observance of World Cancer Day, which fell on February 4th. These activities ran over a period of approximately seven days, starting on Monday, January 27th, and continuing through to February 4th. Screenings were held at locations where each district was commemorating the day. The specific locations included Mumbi RHC, Mwanjabantu RHC, Kalindawalo RHC, and Petauke Urban Clinic.
We had the chance to give HPV vaccines and screen women while educating them on wellness and how we can win the fight against Cervical Cancer.
